Wedding Party, Installment #1

We have some awesome friends and family (introduced in no particular order) who will be participating in the wedding ceremony. This first picture is of me and dear friend Sarah, who will be one of the women of honor. We met at the best church ever in 1997 (my first year of grad school at the University of Minnesota). I think she looks gorgeous in this pic. (And my face looks warped, but oh well.) We moved from MN to CA together in 2002, although unfortunately we were going to different parts of CA.

Suzie I think qualifies as my oldest friend at this point (not counting my sis of course). Here she is, the beautiful bride, at her wedding last March, with hubby Sean. We became friends at Occidental College when we were taking linear algebra together. Not only will she be a woman of honor in the ceremony, but she will be the mastermind behind the flowers at the reception.
My nephew Toby, who just turned six, will be our ring bearer. He is very excited about his job. His mom, my sister Nancy, will also be a woman of honor. They will be the last two down the two aisles together before the pastors, Richard and myself. Nancy has done so much for me already... I think that when I was her maid of honor 13 years ago, I got off easy on the attendant duties.
Nancy heard this story from her hairstylist about a little boy who was a ring bearer. He got through the rehearsal fine, but when it came to the wedding, he stopped and growled at the guests every other pew or so. When they asked him later what he was doing, he simply said he wanted to be the best ring BEAR he could, so he thought he should growl like a real bear! Naturally, Nancy went straight home and explained what the word bearer means to Toby.
